Through the power of webhooks you could have a setup that replies automatically! When an event happens on a service (like receiving an email), that service activates your webhook and sends you the data relevant to the event that happened. Let’s say you aren’t around to reply to new e-mails for a while. Now let’s apply this definition to a more tangible example. This makes the process very convenient and efficient for both providers and users. Thank you in advance for help/clarification.A webhook is sort of a “reverse API”: rather than an application you own (like a bot) calling another application to receive data when it wants it, a webhook is something you can give to someone else's application to send data to you directly as soon as there’s something to share. I tried making RSS feed from my twitter handle, I tried tweeting and the feed never updated so I dont know if it's not real time or I just did something wrong. I dont really have an experience with RSS but I found this. I was also looking if twitter has RSS feed but I couldnt find once that would be "live". Right now I'm generating the stream rules programatically but I'm running out of rules. I know of zapier and ifttt but those are manual ways, I want to do it programatically. So my question is how do they monitor so many accounts? Since Mee6 is massive bot there is no way only 850 twitter accounts is being monitored. For those who don't know how the stream rules work, you get to build a rule using operators the most important one I use to specify which users I want to get tweets from is `from:(twitter user id)` and this takes anywhere from 15-25 characters and with basic math we can calculate that the minimum and maximum of accounts we can monitor is 850(15chars) - 512(25chars) This is very limiting as for larger bots like Mee6 which allows 75 twitter accounts to be followed for free and more for paid tiers. (Filtered stream) This allows me to create up to 25 rules with each rule being 512 characters. I own a bot and I've integrated a twitter stream API into it. I have a question for fellow discord bot developers. (Hover over a specific rule for more information!) Please review proper Reddiquette before submitting.
